A 65-year-old woman from southern China is dead from three weeks of physical abuse at a brainwashing center. Police abducted her from her home in advance of the 18th Congress, announcing that she “had some learning to do.”
Within a day of being abducted by police for practicing Falun Gong, a 53-year-old man from northeast China recently died in custody. The authorities notified his family members, who are attempting to investigate the circumstances of his sudden death.

A 42-year-old owner of a dumpling restaurant in Northeast China died in his home at the end of February, unable to recover from one and half years of physical and mental torture in a Re-education Through Labor (RTL) camp, the Falun Dafa Information Center has learned. His is one of over 400 documented Falun Gong deaths in Liaoning province since 1999.
