Severe Beatings, Kickings, Electric Batons

Bruises on several victims from severe beatings and other forms of torture.

One of the practitioners featured here, Ms. Liu, went with seven other practitioners from Jiang-xi province to Beijing to appeal the persecution of Falun Gong in December 1999.  They were immediately arrested upon their arrival at Tiananmen Square.  They endured two days of severe beatings, interrogations and being forced to hold painful positions for long periods of time; after which they were sent home.  Another practitioner shown here spent five days being beaten, kicked, interrogated, shocked with electric batons and administered toxic drugs by Beijing police.
