Wang Xia, 30 was sentenced to seven years in labor camp. She was detained at the Huhehaote City Women's Prison where she conducted hunger strikes over a two year period to protest her persecution.  Each time she went on hunger strike, she was force-fed for long periods of time.  Her arms were tied to a bed so she couldn't move during the force-feeding.  The tube for force-feeding was left in her esophagus by the guards, who cleaned it every 1-2 weeks. They also shocked her with electric batons, hung her up, beat her, and injected her with unknown drugs. Wang faced critical condition several times during her persecution. Before she was detained, she weighed more than 120 pounds. She now only weighs about 45 pounds and lapses in and out of consciousness.
